Growth investor Monterro opens software development centre in Vietnam
Leading Nordic Growth investor in B2B software companies, Monterro, launches Scandinavian Software Park in Hanoi, Vietnam to support its portfolio companies establishing software development in Vietnam. The initiative enables Monterro’s SaaS companies to accelerate their growth journey.
-”Software engineers are scarce resources, and there’s a lot of qualified engineers in Vietnam”, says Gustav Lagercrantz, CEO of Monterro. ”Our mission is to support Nordic software companies in their growth journey but finding software engineers is a bottleneck. Therefore, we’re really happy to launch Scandinavian Software Park”, he says.
The center is managed by Monterro’s own staff that takes care of recruitments, administration and venues. The engineers that are hired are employed by Monterro’s portfolio companies and are part of their existing development teams.
Building a software development centre in Vietnam is not new to the people at Monterro. One of the initiators, Per Ivansson, used to work as CTO at the Swedish global SaaS company Episerver, where he was responsible for the global development team.

Furthermore, we have the benefit of having a very experienced leader for Scandinavian Software Park, Mr Hieu Doan, who has built and run Episerver’s development centre in Vietnam for 10 years. His network and experience from both Sweden and Vietnam is a fantastic asset”, he adds.
