Monterro launches AI Transformation Challenge for Nordic SaaS companies

AI is the biggest shift in software since the internet. It is transforming how products are built, how companies operate, and what customers expect. To highlight and accelerate AI adoption among Nordic B2B software companies, Monterro is launching the AI Transformation Challenge.

“AI is redefining competition in B2B software. Companies that successfully navigate this transition will thrive; those that don’t, risk being left behind over time,” says Gustav Lagercrantz, CEO of Monterro. “With the AI Transformation Challenge, we want to showcase real success stories and share insights that help more companies make the shift. The Nordics combine innovation, technical know-how, and a strong culture of collaboration - creating ideal conditions for SaaS companies here in the Nordics to take a leading role in the global transformation.”

Focus on proven AI Transformation

The competition opens 3rd of March, with applications closing on 17 May. It is open to Nordic B2B software companies that have been operating for at least five years and generate annual revenues exceeding SEK 5 million.

To qualify, companies must demonstrate how they have used AI to transform their business, for example, by enhancing their product, accelerating software development, increasing customer value, improving operational efficiency, or driving growth.

“AI is unlocking entirely new opportunities, and an increasing number of SaaS companies are turning insight into action,” says Nils Hulth, AI Lead at Monterro and Chair of the competition jury. “Through this initiative, we want to recognize companies that, through bold thinking and disciplined execution, don’t just survive but thrive in the AI era.”

Finalists to present at Nordic Software Summit

Companies may compete in three categories:
•    AI-driven software development (AI coding)
•    AI-powered product functionality
•    AI-enabled organizational efficiency and growth

An independent jury will select the finalists, who will present their solutions to 1,500 software executives at Monterro’s Nordic Software Summit on 20 August.

The winners in each category will be named AI Transformation Champions of the Year and awarded an inspiration trip to Stanford University’s AI Labs.
