Qondor accelerates international expansion with Monterro as partner
Norwegian SaaS company Qondor, the leading meetings & events management platform in the Nordics with a strong presence in the UK, is set to significantly accelerate its international growth following a new partnership with Monterro, which becomes the company’s majority owner.
Qondor serves as the operating platform for some of Europe’s largest meetings & events providers and already supports customers in more than 15 countries. The platform brings together planning, execution, follow-up and financial management in one seamless workflow. In 2025 alone, approximately 44,000 events were delivered through Qondor. Customers include well-known industry players such as Reed & MacKay, Eventity, Berg-Hansen, BCD Meetings & Events, and Z Event.
More than half of Qondor’s annual recurring revenue is generated outside its home market of Norway, with one quarter coming from the UK. This international footprint was a key driver behind Monterro’s investment. Monterro provides hands-on partnership, access to experienced software scaling leaders, strategic and operational expertise, and strong financial backing to accelerate global expansion.
A strong platform for growth
“We chose Monterro because they combine strategic and operational expertise with a proven track record of scaling software companies. Qondor brings deep domain expertise, and Monterro brings scaling experience. That makes for a perfect match. Their model and execution capabilities were decisive in a competitive process involving several potential partners,” says Nils Olav Rislå, CEO of Qondor.
The company’s intensified growth plans will take effect immediately, including the recruitment of six new roles across sales and technology leadership. Qondor is also accelerating its investment in AI to deliver greater customer value through faster processes, improved quality and expanded functionality.
Looking ahead, Qondor envisions a platform capable of automatically identifying suitable destinations, recommending hotels and pricing, and sourcing supplier proposals without manual back-and-forth - significantly increasing efficiency for event professionals.
A clear vision for the meetings & events industry
Qondor operates under the guiding principle that working with meetings and events administration should be just as joyful as attending the events themselves. At the same time, demand for in-person meetings remains strong in an increasingly digital business environment.
“Qondor has a strong team, exceptional solution and a business model that consistently delivers highly satisfied customers. The solution is purpose-built for a clearly defined segment and addresses customers’ core workflows, moving them from manual processes into a structured, digital system. The company has doubled its revenue over the past three years. We are confident that together we can accelerate growth even further,” says Nils Olsson of Monterro, incoming Chairman of the Board of Qondor.
Monterro becomes the majority owner, while Qondor’s founders remain significant shareholders.
“We are fully aligned and committed to building this together,” Olsson adds.
A long-term software partner
Monterro has previously invested in Norwegian software companies including Bliksund, Milient and Telaris, and continues to seek new investment opportunities within the Norwegian B2B software sector. The companies Monterro partners with solve mission-critical business challenges.
In autumn 2025, Monterro launched two new funds with a combined value of nearly NOK 20 billion, with Monterro’s employees committing 10 percent of the total capital themselves, underscoring their long-term commitment.
Christian Walther was recently appointed Transactions Lead in Norway. He sees strong potential among Norwegian founder-led software companies and plans to further increase Monterro’s activity in the market.
“Norway is home to many impressive founder-led companies developing specialized technology for clearly defined niches. We are experiencing strong interest in partnerships where Monterro can contribute complementary industrial expertise and the resources needed to accelerate international growth,” says Walther.
