Monterro Enclave
Monterro Enclave is a shared AI infrastructure platform (LLM infrastructure-as-a-Service) for our portfolio companies, providing a European alternative to the large tech providers that currently dominate AI infrastructure. The service combines lower, more predictable operating costs, full data sovereignty and flexible access to leading AI models.
The platform runs entirely on European-owned and hosted infrastructure. Our portfolio companies gain access to leading LLM models through a single API, without negotiating separate vendor agreements. Data remains within the controlled environment, with predictable costs and no per-token fees that increase as usage grows.
For software entrepreneurs partnering with Monterro this means:
Cost efficiency. Fixed infrastructure cost replaces per-token API spend. As AI usage grows across products and workflows, the cost stays flat until capacity needs to scale. Our portfolio companies access the AI infrastructure at cost.
Data sovereignty. In Monterro Enclave AI processing runs entirely on EU infrastructure, under European ownership. No data leaves the controlled environment. This goes in line with the European Commission's proposed Cloud and AI Development Act (CADA). For companies selling to banks, insurers, pharma and government, this is a credible answer to the questions procurement teams are increasingly asking.
No LLM model lock-in. The platform is model-agnostic. No single model is best at everything. One model may plan well, another may write well, another may verify the work of the first two. The platform routes the right task to the right model, combines outputs, enforces policy and recovers when one fails. Portfolio companies get this without managing the underlying complexity.
The model-agnostic architecture also reduces strategic dependency on any single AI infrastructure provider.
